provides numerous other features that make configuring, pricing and
proposing complex solutions even easier for sales people.
Price Book
PriceQuote provides a price book facility that enables users to view
and search the entire price book database for a particular company. But
PriceQuote goes way beyond providing simply a means to pull parts and
their associated price and cost information into a quotation. PriceQuote
also configures the peripheral products and services associated with
parts that are pulled in from the price book!!
Finding parts in the price book is easy. Simply click on the Price
Book button, then click on the Price Book Search button to search for
parts using a variety of filters. To add a part (and its associated
configuration information) to the quotation, enter the desired quantity
and click the Close Price Book button. The part – and all of its
associated information – will be inserted into the quotation.
Write-in capability
Knowing that not all parts will be in the price book, PriceQuote
enables users to “write in” parts that are not (yet) in the price book,
including any configuration information that is associated with these
parts so that peripheral products and services can be properly
configured as well.
In some cases, the user might not be sure whether the part already
exists in the price book. No problem! Simply enter the quantity and part
number for the part, click on the Update Tab Info button, and if the
part exists in the database then all associated price, cost and
configuration information will be automatically inserted.
Discounting and margin analysis
PriceQuote enables users to set discounts and analyze job margins the
way your company works. As a customized solution, PriceQuote can be
modified to match the way that your company discounts or analyzes
margins. PriceQuote can even be customized to hide or show costs and
margins depending on user passwords.
PriceQuote also provides users with the ability to “goal seek” to a
specific sell price or margin, so that users don’t have to manually fool
with discounts to get to a desired total sell price or job margin.
Forms generation
Various customized forms can be created and generated by PriceQuote,
including work authorization forms, sales order forms and purchase
agreements. PriceQuote can even generate a change order form that splits
items into “adds” (items that are added to the original order) and
“deletes” (items deleted from the original order). The sky is the limit
on the number and types of forms that can be created and generated!!
