SalesDoc Architect Version: 7.085
SalesDoc Architect Release Date: January 25, 2012
END-USER CHANGES
- New! Pro Edition subscribers can now incorporate customer-specific pricing into their quotes for situations where the seller is contractually obligated to sell specific items at agreed-to pricing. You can also incorporate customer-specific costing , such as when a manufacturer provides lower costing to the reseller to support the lower pricing that the reseller provides to a specific end customer. For more information, please see our “Customer-Specific Pricing” help topic.
- New! The help files – including the PDF version – have been updated to incorporate all of the recent changes to SalesDoc Architect.
ARCHITECT MANAGER CHANGES
- New! From any tab within a quote file, you can now reference specific part numbers on the Write-In tab within configuration formulas. This is particularly useful when you want to reference part numbers imported into the Write-In tab from manufacturer or distributor configuration/pricing tools.
- New! References to item counts (i.e., quantities of ItemCats), rangenames on the BaseInfo tab and specific parts on the Write-In tab can be used in configuration formulas on the Assemblies tab. This means that you can auto-configure parts within an assembly – especially within templates that you want to re-use – based on other parts configured or user selections (e.g., PVC vs. plenum, CAT5e vs CAT6).
- New! The help files – including the PDF version – have been updated to incorporate all of the recent changes to SalesDoc Architect. In addition, a new “Anatomy of a Quote File” (starting on page 24 of the PDF) has been added to explain all of the components within a quote file, along with the folder and file locations of several key SalesDoc Architect files. We recommend that all SalesDoc Architect Managers review this new section.
- New! Write-in_Import.xlt has been added to the PQManager/Templates folder as a template file that end users can use for importing files (with fieldnames in first row) into quote files. For more information on importing Excel files into the Write-In tab of a quote file, please see the “Importable Field Names on Write-In Tab” help topic in the end user guide.
